Site Engineer (Setting Out) needed in High Wycombe.
- Location: High Wycombe
- Duration: 6 Months
- Start Date: Immediate
- Rate: Negotiable
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer for a 6-month project. This role will involve a combination of setting out, surveying, and coordination duties across multiple phases of construction. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across piling, concrete frame, steel frame, and S278 street works, and be confident managing setting out responsibilities while coordinating with subcontractors on site.
Duties:
- Setting out for various elements including piling, concrete frame, steel frame, and external works
- Checking levels to ensure works are delivered in line with design specifications
- Checking plumbness and alignment of structural elements
- Reviewing and overlaying drawings in DWG and PDF formats to identify discrepancies and clashes
- Coordinating works with subcontractors and other engineers on site
- Setting up and maintaining local control stations using retro targets (supplied)
- Supporting delivery of S278 street works in line with project requirements
- Ensuring accuracy, quality control, and adherence to site tolerances
- Reporting progress and any issues to site management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer
- Demonstrable experience in:
- Piling works
- Concrete frame (RC frame)
- Steel frame structures
- S278 street works
