Material Controller needed in Bracknell * Salary: Competitive + Benefits * Job Type: Full-Time (3 Year contract) About the Role We are recruiting a passionate and skilled Material Controller to support multiple developments in the Bracknell region. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth coordination and supply of materials across our construction sites, contributing to the delivery of high-quality homes and neighbourhoods. Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with the Project Buyer to prepare detailed material schedules aligned with construction programmes. * Oversee and control material deliveries to site, maintaining accurate records and addressing any discrepancies with suppliers. * Distribute materials on-site in accordance with work package schedules. * Liaise with material suppliers to ensure deliveries meet project deadlines, considering lead times. * Attend weekly subcontractor meetings to stay updated on project requirements. * Book materials into the system post-delivery, ensuring prompt supplier payments. * Conduct monthly stock checks to support cost reporting in collaboration with the Project Buyer. * Develop and manage delivery schedules and integrate them into purchase orders. * Perform weekly stock controls to forecast and address material shortages or surpluses in advance. * Check daily stock levels, ensuring timely material requisitions for planned installations. * Assist in the creation and implementation of a waste management strategy, ensuring both commercial efficiency and environmental compliance. * Organise materials storage and distribution to comply with site-specific environmental plans and best practices. Skills and Qualifications * A genuine passion for construction and housebuilding. * Proven experience in a Material Controller or similar role. * Knowledge of the building industry and construction materials. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong time management and organisational abilities. * Proficiency in relevant software and numeracy skills. * A current CSCS card.
