Role: Asbestos Surveyor

The Asbestos Surveyor is a key member of the City Building asbestos team, responsible for compliance with Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR 2012) and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974). This role involves assessing and managing asbestos risks, conducting surveys, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely and methodically, adhering to HSE Guidance (HSG264) and our Technical Manual.
  • Perform bulk sampling, Management Surveys, and Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys in occupied and vacant properties.
  • Conduct surveys in communal areas, provide expert advice, and produce detailed reports and site plans.
  • Complete risk assessments, site paperwork, and record ACMs using AlphaTracker software.
  • Attend training, pass site audits, and maintain PPE and RPE equipment.
  • Assist the Technical Manager with administrative tasks, report checks, and re-surveys.

Essential qualifications include a full clean driving license, proven experience as a trained surveyor within a UKAS-accredited organization, P402 or RSPH Level 3 qualification in asbestos surveying, and thorough knowledge of asbestos legislation and survey techniques.
