City have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who aspires to develop their career in Refrigeration Engineering whilst gaining an apprentice qualification. Overview

This Apprenticeship will help you gain both a technical qualification and invaluable real-world development experience. Studying towards a Level 3 in Refrigeration you will undertake a blend of college and on the job learning. This role will operate in a live environment and will see you involved in activities and learning that support the service provisions of the City business.

What might a typical day in this job look like?

City follows a block or day release programme, where you will attend a technical college working towards a NVQ level 3 in Refrigeration, combined with onsite coaching from experienced engineers. Each day will be a new challenge, as you learn and gain experience covering all the technical and hands-on tasks required to develop you into the next generation of engineer, in an industry that is constantly evolving with new technologies.

What will I learn?

You\’ll study towards a Level 3 NVQ in Refrigeration. In addition, you will gain experience working with refrigeration technologies in both installation and maintenance environments, and with a highly accomplished team of engineers. You\’ll go beyond just being an apprentice and will gain experience of working on a range of diverse tasks and projects.

  • 5 GCSE Grade C or above including Maths, English and a minimum of one Science subject.
  • Full driving license.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Helpful and friendly manner

  • Physically fit
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
