We are seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors / Quantity Surveyors to join our growing commercial team and lead the financial management of high-value projects.
The Role:
- As a key member of the commercial team, you will be involved in and oversee aspects of cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial control on multiple projects.
- You’ll drive performance, manage risk, and ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Project Locations: Across London and within the M25
Project Values: Between £1m - £9m
Head Office Location: Ware, Hertfordshire
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Commercial Manager and Directors
- Take ownership of the commercial delivery across multiple projects
- Prepare, manage, and control project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Produce monthly CVRs and project valuations
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management
- Contribute to estimating and demonstrate strong pricing capability
- Ensure robust contract administration, including variations, dispute resolution, and final accounts
- Provide commercial insight and recommendations to senior leadership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
About You:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- Experience in a Senior QS or Surveying role within the construction industry
- Brickwork or subcontracting background desirable, but not essential
- Proven track record of delivering strong commercial outcomes on projects
- Strong team player with excellent time management skills
- Good contractual knowledge (e.g. JCT, NEC).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Driving licence
