An interesting job opportunity has arisen at City Auctioneering for extra porters with forklift experience due to the increase in business. Suitable applicants should possess the following:

  • An enquiring and practical mindset
  • A can-do attitude including working to deadlines
  • Car owner driver, there is no public transport available
  • An understanding of online selling is an advantage

The job comprises:

  • Warehouse work - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm, with 30-minute lunchbreak
  • Manual handling for sale preparation
  • Able bodied, as some lifting is required, very physical job
  • Forklift driver would be an advantage (not essential)
  • Dealing with a wide assortment of items from car spares to electrical stock, ever changing, no two days the same
  • To write clear and precise descriptions for catalogue. Training will be given on the inhouse description style (neat handwriting is preferred)
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Photographing items for online sale catalogue
  • Communicating with buyers face to face to manage their collection of goods after the auctions
