Would you like to be involved with supporting the delivery of our Level 2 Technical Award in Hair and Beauty Studies? We are looking for Marking Examiners to join us in the delivery of the Summer 2026 exam series for the Level 2 Technical Award in Hair and Beauty paper. This role gives you the opportunity to work with City & Guilds alongside your current job, to build additional income with competitive daily rates, and contribute to expanding your skills and development. Marking activity must take place within the UK.
The Examiner Marker will work with our Technical Assessment for Level 2 Hair and Beauty Studies – Theory Exam. The theory exams are created and marked by trained and experienced associates working with City & Guilds. The key activities for the Examiner Marker take place during the summer exams, which occur in June and July. This awarding period includes attending a full-day online standardisation meeting and being available to mark exams during the marking window.
Throughout the awarding period, Markers will also support City & Guilds by responding to queries and feedback from the assessment team, Team Leaders, and/or the Principal Examiner regarding the assessments. The Marker must be available throughout the standardisation and marking windows. This role includes payment for attending standardisation meetings and for the number of exam papers marked. A full training and induction plan will be provided for the successful applicant.
