What you'll do
Join us as a Support Worker and take the next step in your care career. We are looking for an experienced support worker, who is compassionate and reliable to care for a young lady with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, dystonia and epilepsy. Patience, consistency, clear communication and interaction to the client is required to this fulfilling and rewarding role where no two days are the same. From trips to the local wildlife parks or the cinema to spending time at the client's home providing emotional support, social inclusion and offering companionship. Be a part of our existing team supporting with mobility tasks, domestic duties, personal care and PEG feed management.
Qualifications
What you'll need
- A background in care is required, especially in the following:
- PEG feeding
- Seizure management, in particular epilepsy
- Moving & handling equipment
- Very good communication skills.
It is essential you must have a valid UK manual driving licence and be confident in using a mobility van.
