What you’ll do:
- The ideal candidate will be a patient, calm, and adaptable individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor their approach to meet the client’s unique needs.
- They will be observant, safety-conscious, and capable of providing close supervision in the community to ensure the client’s well-being at all times.
- Compassion, professionalism, and the ability to maintain clear boundaries are essential, particularly when managing challenging behaviours or navigating sensitive topics.
- Reliability and consistency are key, offering structure and reassurance while remaining confident in responding to medical emergencies such as seizures.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills are also vital, enabling effective collaboration with the client’s mother and the wider care team to ensure high-quality, consistent care within the agreed home environment.
