Shifts: Days (7:30 am - 4 pm) and Nights (10 pm - 6 am)

What you'll do:
- Provide full support with all aspects of daily living for a young person with complex health needs, including epilepsy, developmental delay and neurological conditions.
- Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing and continence management.
- Support with a pureed diet and maintain strict infection control procedures due to a high vulnerability to illness.
- Accompany and support them during the school week, helping them engage and participate.
- Ensure a consistent daily routine, including a calming bath after school and a structured bedtime routine.
- Monitor for seizure activity, recognising triggers such as sudden loud noises or changes in temperature, and respond appropriately, including administering prescribed rescue medication and following emergency procedures when required.
- Work closely with their family to ensure safe and consistent care.
- Support communication needs as they are non-verbal but have good understanding.
- Encourage participation in activities they enjoy.
- Create a calm, safe and supportive environment, promote their independence, and act as a strong advocate to ensure their needs and preferences are always respected.
