The day centre is open Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and offers the following services to residents in the Kensington and Chelsea borough:

  • Care services for people with dementia
  • Care services for people with learning disabilities
  • Caring for adults over 65
  • Caring for adults under 65
  • Mental health conditions
  • Physical disabilities
  • Sensory impairments
  • Substance misuse problems

The staff team are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients, supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes. This role involves transporting vulnerable adults with advanced dementia and reduced mobility. Each minibus will have an escort who supports the drivers with pick up and drop off.

Duties:

  • Be available for planned and unplanned driving, involving some weekends and on-call work.
  • Drive a minibus on residents' outings, helping with activities and care team.
  • Be a car owner with a full driving licence, including full D1 section.
  • Take full responsibility of the minibus, including cleaning and facilitating maintenance.

Shift pattern: Mon to Sunday 8:45 to 16:45, Driving runs – 9:00-11:00am pick up and drop off 14:45 – 16:30.

Due to the nature of the role, the following is required:

  • Driver with D1 License (Required)
  • Confident and able to drive a minibus (9 seats).

Qualifications:

You will need to be an efficient, organised and experienced care professional who is passionate about providing the best care, thrive on managing a team within a health and social care environment and take pride in building relationships with your clients and care workers. Due to the field-based elements of the role, you must be a driver with your own vehicle.
