Job Description
What you'll do: We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and emotionally resilient individual to join our established team, supporting a vibrant young woman in her thirties who has cerebral palsy and complex clinical needs. This rewarding and varied role involves delivering person-centred care, including personal care, meal preparation, social engagement and emotional support, while working alongside our Nurses to assist with a range of clinical interventions. No two days are the same, and you will play a vital role in promoting independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference within a supportive and experienced team where flexibility, reliability and consistency are highly valued. As part of her support, you will help her enjoy the activities she loves, including spending time with her pet cat, taking part in arts and crafts, and enjoying regular day trips to local parks and community settings.
Qualifications
What you'll need: Experience in complex care, in particular with tracheostomies, PEG feeding and catheter care would be desirable but previous care experience is essential for this position prior to being interviewed, this is inclusive of the following:
- Knowledge of Cerebral Palsy.
- Moving & Handling Equipment.
