What you\’ll do
Be a part of a special care team delivering care to our client who is a delightful child and support her to reach her full potential. Due to our clients complex needs you will be working alongside a registered nurse you will be required to deliver care either within the home or whilst our client is at school supporting our client to access education is an important part of this role. You will deliver care in line with the care plan which includes tracheostomy care care of the ventilated child and gastrostomy care. As well as supporting with all aspects of daily living you will engage in play with our client who enjoys listening to music singing playing memory games and watching videos.
You will be supported by Advantage Healthcare London branch and invited to attend regular supervisions and team meetings. A registered nurse will ensure you are competent in our clients care needs and support with any clinical concerns and queries you may have.
Qualifications
- Experience of working in a complex care setting.
- Experience in moving and handling.
- Experience in tracheostomy & gastrostomy care.
- Experience of looking after a ventilated child.
- You will need to be a car driver due to the location.
