Citrus Recruit are excited to be working to recruit for a Sales Director on a remote basis for a growing EHS company. This is a senior commercial leadership position, responsible for the day to day team management of a growing new business sales team, defining the revenue strategy and building a powerful partnership system that drives long‑term, sustainable growth.

You'll bring a blend of commercial acumen and hands‑on leadership, with the ability to influence at executive level and create clarity in a fast‑moving, ambitious environment. This role offers growth and development, and the opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing business.

Responsibilities & day to day duties

As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Build, lead and scale a new business sales team with clear KPIs, strong coaching and performance management.
  • Lead the full revenue strategy, owning Sales Development, New Business and Strategic Partnerships while identifying new routes to market and scalable growth opportunities.
  • Drive forecasting, budgeting and commercial planning, providing clear reporting on revenue performance, pipeline health, risks and opportunities.
  • Shape wider business strategy across pricing, contract structures and long‑term commercial positioning.
  • Embed a data‑driven approach, using analytics to track pipeline metrics, conversion, forecasting accuracy, partner performance and sales efficiency.
  • Present commercial insights to guide strategic decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Define and execute a structured partnership strategy, identifying high‑value relationships across group businesses, trade bodies, membership organisations and third‑party entities.
  • Structure sustainable commercial agreements, exploring white‑label, co‑branded and integrated partnership models to drive long‑term revenue.
Skills & experience required
  • Demonstrates senior‑level leadership behaviours: commercially minded, solutions‑focused, approachable and able to inspire confidence across teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build, scale and lead high‑performing sales organisations, setting clear KPIs, driving accountability and fostering a culture of coaching and continuous improvement.
  • Strong strategic mindset with experience designing and executing multi‑layered partnership ecosystems.
  • Expert negotiator capable of handling complex commercial and legal agreements with enterprise customers, partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly skilled in GTM planning, able to build and deliver joint sales and marketing strategies that accelerate acquisition and partnership growth.
  • Data‑driven operator with deep experience in pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, performance analytics and CRM discipline (Salesforce).
  • Experience within Environment, Health, and Safety or Governance, Risk, and Compliance, a similar SaaS based company or similar platform.
