Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a well-known brand to recruit for an experienced Renewable Energy Consultant. As Renewable Energy Consultant you will be supporting businesses across the UK with renewable energy projects, feasibility studies and technical advice on a consultancy basis. This is a varied, customer-facing role where you'll work closely with clients, visit sites, analyse energy data and provide practical recommendations that help organisations improve their energy efficiency and sustainability. This role would suit someone with a technical or engineering background who has gained at least 2-3 years' experience within the renewable energy, sustainability, utilities or engineering sectors and is looking to develop their consultancy career.

Responsibilities & day to day duties

  • Visiting customer sites across the UK to assess existing operations, energy usage and opportunities for improvement
  • Advising clients on renewable energy and sustainability solutions
  • Conducting site surveys and gathering technical information, analysing operational data to identify opportunities for improvements and produce recommendations
  • Preparing clear, professional reports and feasibility studies
  • Supporting energy-related applications and project documentation
  • Assessing the viability of renewable technologies and sustainable energy solutions
  • Keeping up to date with developments in renewable energy technologies and the wider energy market

Skills & experience required

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience within a renewable energy, sustainability, engineering or technical consultancy environment
  • A strong engineering or technical background with the ability to understand and evaluate energy technologies
  • Experience working in Agriculture or rural businesses, food production or manufacturing, renewable energy, utilities, Engineering Consultancy and Sustainability and Environmental services.
  • Experience carrying out site visits, surveys, technical assessments or feasibility studies
  • Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders
  • Knowledge or exposure to at least one of the following: Biomethane, Anaerobic Digestion, Biomass Systems or Solar Energy
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and AutoCAD would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

  • 37 hours per week, 08.45 - 17.15 Monday to Thursday. 08.45 - 16.15 Friday
