Responsibilities & day to day duties
As a Graduate Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Gather data and draft initial budgets and forecasts to support the planning process.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and ongoing monitoring.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and support other tax compliance activities.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
- 12 months experience in a Finance Assistant/ Accounts Assistant role
- Knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Xero, SAP etc)
- Ideally AAT/ Degree qualified and looking to do ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Salary of up to £28,000
- Hours are 7 hours between 8am – 5pm
- Full study support (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) including exam fees, tuition, and study leave.
