Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global organisation to recruit for an experienced Production Manager based in Bridgend. As the business continues to grow and refine its production capabilities, you will play a key role in driving performance and ensuring world-class manufacturing standards.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations within the production department. You will ensure efficient output, maintain exceptional quality standards, and lead a high-performing team. You’ll collaborate closely with planning, quality, supply chain, and senior leadership to meet customer demand, improve processes, and create a safe and productive working environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage production schedules in collaboration with the Production Planner.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules according to customer demand, material availability, and capacity constraints.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of labour, equipment, and materials.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production personnel, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Work with the Quality Manager to maintain quality control processes, audits, and inspections.
  • Apply lean manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Materials and Supply Chain teams to manage WIP and raw material levels.
  • Ensure seamless material flow to maintain uninterrupted production schedules.
  • Produce regular reports on production KPIs, including absorbed hours, productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing, operations, or production management role.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control.
  • Experience implementing lean principles and driving continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and people-management skills.

Benefits package

  • Salary of Circa up to £55,000 DOE
  • Bonus paid annually @ 7.5%
  • 25 days holiday

  • 40 hour working Monday - Friday
