Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global enterprise to recruit for a Research & Technology Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate-level candidate with some industry experience who is eager to build a career in research, development, testing, and technology innovation.

As a Research & Technology Engineer, you will support the delivery of research, technology, and development initiatives while helping to maintain specialist facilities, demonstration systems, laser equipment, and testing environments.

You'll gain hands-on experience working on real-world engineering challenges, collecting and analysing technical data, and contributing to projects that directly influence product innovation and customer success.

Responsibilities & day to day duties

  • As a Research & Technology Engineer, you be trained and responsible for
  • Support the efficient delivery of the company's wire sample service, including sample processing, reporting, and database management.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and ongoing development of specialist applications and research facilities.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Research & Development, Sales, and Marketing teams to support demonstrations, applications testing, and project activities.
  • Test, evaluate, and validate both internally developed and third-party equipment.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret technical data, producing clear reports and recommendations.
  • Support research and development projects from concept through to evaluation and implementation.
  • Maintain and manage inventory levels of specialist aerospace wire and cable stock used in testing and development activities.

Skills & experience required

  • Degree qualified in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Graduate-level candidate with some commercial, industrial, placement, internship, or hands-on engineering experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to gather, analyse, and present technical information clearly.
