Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a growing Energy company to recruit for an Account Manager for a small but growing team.

You will be managing a portfolio of accounts, building relationships with your customers to increase inbound referrals and tenders, expand on existing opportunities and grow new business accounts.

This is a technical role with a complex sales process, the successful candidate will have a background with Energy, either coming from a Supplier or TPI background.

You will be working for a forward-thinking business within the Energy sector, who have a flexible, hybrid working pattern and an extensive benefits package.

Responsibilities & day to day duties

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for

  • Manage a full pipeline of new business and renewal tenders, coordinating end‑to‑end responses and aligning contract requirements with TPI/consumer needs.
  • Gather and validate data to assess risk, collaborate with internal teams on bespoke tender requirements, and work with Credit to secure suitable credit outcomes.
  • Ensure TPIs can accurately represent offers, pitch propositions directly where possible, and collect all onboarding information for a smooth customer setup.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular reviews, accurate forecasting, and oversight of trade confirmations and reporting feedback.
  • Build and optimise TPI relationships through structured engagement, KPI reviews, product launches, qualification of new partners, and industry networking.
  • Keep CRM data accurate and produce insight-led analysis on TPI performance, trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Collaborate daily with Customer Service, Quoting, and Marketing to ensure aligned tender responses, consistent customer experience, and effective sales collateral.

Skills & experience required.

  • Proven B2B I&C sales experience, with strong relationship management across Strategic Accounts and TPIs.
  • Solid understanding of flexible energy supply products
  • Confident communicator able to influence internal stakeholders and maintain strong cross‑team collaboration.
  • Professional and credible in all external, customer‑facing meetings, representing the business effectively.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
