Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global organisation to recruit for an experienced Senior Claims Handler working within Employers and Public Liability. Our client, a global leader in specialty insurance, is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join their established Liability team. You will be managing a caseload of Employers and Public Liability claims using your experience to assess, negotiate and settle claims efficiently and fairly, while supporting junior team members and collaborating with underwriting teams. Responsibilities & day to day duties
- Handle a caseload of Employers and Public Liability claims from start to finish
- Accurately assess liability, allocate reserves, and settle claims in line with authority limits and service targets
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal company procedures
- Provide technical guidance to underwriters regarding policy coverage queries
- Mentor and support junior colleagues with complex cases and referrals
- Maintain a strong focus on customer service, efficiency, and quality
Skills & experience required
- Proven experience in handling EL/PL liability claims
- Confident in managing your own caseload from notification to resolution
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and numeracy ability for managing workflow and financials
- Interrupting and applying the policies
