Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a well-known brand to recruit for an experienced Sales Team Manager. Managing a team of 3, you will be managing the day-to-day sales activity and pipeline management, whilst looking after a small portfolio of channel partners. The successful candidate will have ideally 2 years' experience in a management role within a consultancy or service lead environment. It's a hybrid role, where you must be able to travel into the office near to Kenilworth ideally 2 days per week.
Responsibilities & day to day duties
- Lead and develop a small sales team of 3, managing performance, coaching on best practice, and driving a high‑performance culture.
- Own the full sales process, ensuring strong pipeline visibility, accurate forecasting, and disciplined CRM management.
- Drive revenue growth by setting clear targets, monitoring activity, and ensuring opportunities are qualified, progressed, and converted effectively.
- Support and influence major commercial opportunities, shaping deal strategy, pricing discussions, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Build and manage channel, partner, and introducer relationships to create strong routes to market and deliver sustainable revenue.
- Work closely with consultancy, delivery, and marketing teams to align go‑to‑market activity and remove barriers to sales progress.
- Provide market insight to support proposition development and ensure internal teams are informed, aligned, and commercially aware.
Skills & experience required
- Strong background in B2B consultative or solution‑led sales, ideally within energy services or a services environment.
- Proven track record leading, coaching, and developing a sales team, with success improving process, discipline, and commercial performance.
- Hands‑on player‑manager style, comfortable operating in an SME environment and balancing strategic leadership with day‑to‑day delivery.
- Experience developing sales plans, managing targets, and driving consistent performance through structured reporting, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
- Skilled in building channel partnerships, introducer networks, and commercial relationships that generate qualified opportunities and revenue.
- Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex information, influence stakeholders, and motivate others to achieve high standards.
- Highly organised, analytical, and resilient, with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
