Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global organisation to recruit for an experienced Production Planner. In this role, you will manage production schedules, translate demand into material requirements, maintain planning BOMs, and monitor performance to ensure on-time delivery. You will collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams, helping to optimise processes, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and comfortable making decisions under changing conditions, and have a background in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations. Responsibilities & day to day duties
- Develop and manage production schedules based on orders and forecast demand
- Convert demand data into material requirements using MRP and maintain planning BOMs
- Analyse trends and historical data to optimise planning assumptions and configurations
- Coordinate with operations, supply chain, and stakeholders to align production plans
- Monitor production performance, including delivery dates and schedule adherence
- Adjust schedules for demand changes, engineering updates, and capacity or supply constraints
- Track performance metrics, resolve shortages/risks, and drive continuous planning improvements.
Skills & experience required
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations.
- Experienced in MPS, MRP, BOM management, ERP systems, and engineering change processes
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, demand planning, S&OP/SIOP, and inventory management
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Skilled in communication, coordination, and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making under change
- Excellent planning, organisational skills, and attention to detail
- Focused on cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement
Benefits package
- Salary of up to £35,000
- Bonus paid annually
- 40 hours per week, flexible between 7am and 5pm.
