About the Role

You’ll be at the heart of delivering exceptional client work across organic search, from technical SEO through to on-page and off-page strategy.

This is a role where your strategic thinking directly impacts client success.

You’ll build strong relationships by understanding each client’s unique needs, working hard to retain them, and creating data-driven strategies that deliver real, measurable results.

Every day, you’ll carry out keyword research, on-page optimisation, and technical SEO audits, managing site health, crawlability, and indexation across a varied client portfolio.

You’ll develop content strategies, work with local SEO, and use tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush and Bright Local to track rankings, identify opportunities, and diagnose issues.

You’ll lead keyword and content strategies aligned to key client priorities, and dive into performance data, turning it into clear insights and recommendations that keep clients ahead of the curve.

You’ll manage client expectations and KPIs with a commercial mindset, ensuring every recommendation drives value and supports retention.

You’ll also collaborate with the wider business, working with platform and development colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve site performance, and lending your SEO expertise to client success and sales teams to help them identify the best fit solutions for retailers.

You’ll stay up to date with algorithm updates, industry trends, and best practice in SEO along the way.

While the role focuses primarily on client delivery, you’ll occasionally support onboarding activities, ensuring new clients get off to a strong start.

  • Technical Skills & Experience
  • Experience managing SEO campaigns, ideally within an ecommerce or B2C environment.
  • Strong hands-on knowledege of technical, on-page and off-page SEO.
  • Working knowledge of Google Search Console and GA4.
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar.
  • Experience running local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation.
  • Confident analysing organic performance metrics and rankings data.
  • Experience with content strategy, keyword research and Excel.
  • Excellent in customer service and building client relationships.
  • Comfortable leading client conversations, including QBRs with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Role Specific Requirements

SEO Campaign Management

  • Manage and optimise SEO campaigns across a diverse client portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities and develop strategic, data-backed recommendations.
  • Monitor campaign performance and make proactive optimisation decisions.
  • Prepare performance reports with clear analysis and next steps.
  • Contribute directly to live client campaigns from week one, executing technical, on-page, and content work independently.

Technical SEO & Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and prioritise findings.
  • Perform detailed keyword research to identify high-value opportunities.
  • Execute off-site strategies and conduct link profile analysis.
  • Keep up to date with algorithm changes and search engine developments.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of your analysis and execution of SEO tasks.
  • Develop SEO-focused content and strategies for clients.
  • Conduct content audits and provide content ideation and brief support.
  • Contribute fresh perspectives on how clients can differentiate in search.
  • Create monthly reporting and comprehensive data analysis.

Client & Team Support

  • Work collaboratively with team members and account managers.
  • Provide exceptional client service that protects long-term client relationships.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and bring new ideas to the table.
