My client is a globally recognised insurance brand based in Belgium – we are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Senior Internal Auditor to specialise in the Benelux region.

This role will cover a variety of business lines, primarily focused on the insurance market but also lending a hand to the company’s financials and assets. You will also be expected to have a good understanding of IT general controls and applications.

For these reasons, we are looking for an all-rounder. We expect the successful candidate to have a Big4 background and some industry knowledge either through internal or external auditing. Due to the seniority of this role and the size of the company, we require at least 5 years of audit background experience.

Language ability will be essential as we are recruiting for a Benelux specialist. Language skills in Dutch, French and English are required to a strong professional working proficiency.

You will be working and reporting to senior management across a variety of countries and you will also be leading audit engagements with teams of 3 – 6 strong, depending on the audit engagement.

This audit position covers a relatively small geographical area and, although you will be responsible for this region, there will be a very low commitment to travel. A team of 18 auditors in total within this function will spread the workload and also the travel requirements.
