A leading player within the fast-moving consumer goods sector, based in Hong Kong and operating globally, is looking to recruit a Governance Leader to specialise in driving Risk and Compliance assignments throughout the APAC region. My client has a specific Chief Risk Office which has been growing steadily over the last few years, providing scope to develop this function.
Your main focus will be to drive compliance awareness within the organisation. The Role consists of:
- Planning, monitoring and coordinating compliance work, in particular compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act 2002, and achieve full SOX compliance
- Providing guidance on compliance related issues in line with relevant legislation and internally developed policies and processes to local SOX teams and management
- Reporting to senior management on compliance related issues and progress
- Conducting client site audits according to business requirements in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Leading and undertaking design and operational effectiveness testing as required on behalf of senior management, affiliates and other departments
- Dealing with financial and legal compliance and HR issues
The Successful Applicant will have:
- A minimum of 8 years total experience
- 2-3 years experience within legal and financial experience
- SOX compliance experience
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Experience dealing with HR issues
The successful candidate should also be a fluent Mandarin and English speaker.
