Primary Teacher – KS1/KS2
Location: BD15, Bradford

Contract: Temporary – Day to day
Pay: £160–£180 per day
DBS: Enhanced DBS required
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school in the BD15 area of Bradford on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on experience and preference.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for a temporary position within a supportive primary school environment.
Day-to-Day Work
As a Primary Teacher, your typical day will include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.

Teaching either KS1 or KS2 classes according to your experience and the school’s requirements.

Taking responsibility for the learning and progress of pupils within your class.

Adapting lessons and activities to meet different learning abilities and individual needs.
-
Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
-
Marking and assessing pupils’ work and providing constructive feedback.
-
Working alongside teaching assistants and other school staff to support pupils.
-
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
-
Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and attainment.
-
Participating in staff meetings, briefings and other school activities where appropriate.

Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers.
-
Following school policies, safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements.

Supporting the wider life of the school, including assemblies, break/lunch duties and school events where required.

Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.

Create a positive and supportive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and school leaders.

Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to school assessment processes.

Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
-
Primary teaching experience, ideally within KS1 and/or KS2.
-
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Enhanced DBS clearance is required or willing to obtain one.

Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.

Enthusiasm, reliability and a positive approach to teaching.
