Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the technical delivery of the product suite across internal teams and third‑party engineering partners
  • Drive adherence to engineering best practice, architectural guardrails and group-wide governance
  • Maintain a strong, evidence-based security posture across all development streams.
  • Ensure engineering teams deliver consistent value aligned to the Product roadmap and architectural vision
  • Facilitate or run agile ceremonies where required, ensuring risks, blockers and dependencies are surfaced, escalated and resolved promptly
  • Promote high‑quality engineering workflows, tooling and DevOps practices to improve speed, reliability and maintainability
  • Clearly articulate technical debt, highlighting critical timelines such as deprecations, platform cut‑overs and supplier lifecycle events
  • Collaborate with internal and external Talent Acquisition partners to interview, assess and hire engineering talent
  • Draft accurate, future‑focused job specifications aligned to team and business needs
  • Partner with Compliance and Security teams to scope penetration tests, interpret findings and translate outcomes into actionable roadmap items
  • Support information security assessments by coordinating with technical stakeholders and ensuring high‑quality, accurate responses
  • Champion secure development practices across the engineering lifecycle
  • Help ensure development teams operate efficiently, sustainably and in alignment with broader organisational goals

We are looking for:

  • An experienced Engineering leader, with proven experience leading complex Salesforce engineering initiatives
  • Working knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, ECS Fargate, SQS, DynamoDB)
  • Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous integration patterns
  • Strong architectural understanding of distributed systems, API design and integration patterns
  • Strong grounding in secure development methodologies within the Salesforce ecosystem
