To provide high-quality, specialist debt advice and casework to clients, primarily from the Merthyr Tydfil area. This role forms part of Citizens Advice Merthyr Tydfil’s new telephone debt advice project and will involve delivering advice remotely via telephone and digital channels.
The postholder will manage a caseload and support clients through all stages of debt resolution, including creditor negotiation, financial statement preparation, and formal debt solutions.
The role is high-pressured and target-driven, requiring excellent time management, resilience, and the ability to deliver outcomes efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
It is office-based for 60% of the week, with up to 40% home working permitted following successful probation.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively in Welsh, both verbally and in writing, to meet the needs of Welsh-speaking clients and comply with Welsh language standards.
