We are recruiting an Energy Adviser to provide high-quality, impartial energy advice and practical support to clients across Preston & District. The role aims to improve clients’ financial circumstances and support long-term stability, with a strong focus on vulnerable households, including those on low incomes, disabled people, and residents of the most deprived wards.
Key Responsibilities
- You will work collaboratively with our partners, Green Rose and North Lancashire Citizens Advice, using a holistic approach to assess client needs and ensure they access the most appropriate support.
- You will deliver face-to-face and telephone advice, helping clients with complex energy issues and supporting them through challenging situations.
Qualifications and Skills
- The role requires recent or current experience in delivering high-quality advice, or a clear commitment to complete the required training, including an accredited Level 3 qualification in Energy Awareness.
- You will have excellent communication, customer service and IT skills, with the ability to manage difficult and emotional conversations in a non-judgmental and supportive way.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and maintain accurate case records are essential.
- You should be confident using Office 365 and case management systems while engaging with clients.
