Overview

We are looking for a debt adviser (trainee debt adviser considered) to join our dedicated specialist team, providing comprehensive, confidential and flexible debt advice to the people of Central Nottinghamshire. We are embedded in our communities across Ashfield, Broxtowe and Newark & Sherwood.

You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, with the ability to listen, advise and work with people empathetically, demonstrating a commitment and passion for helping them overcome their financial issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide debt advice in a confidential, client-centred manner to residents in Central Nottinghamshire.
  • Listen to clients, advise and work with them empathetically, showing commitment to helping them overcome financial issues.
  • Be results-driven with strong numerical and financial skills.
  • Use a computer-based recording and monitoring system to manage cases and client information.
  • Manage own workload and work to targets in a pressurised environment.
  • Ideally have recent and substantial experience of providing debt advice in an organisation where quality standards are paramount.

Qualifications

  • Debt advisory experience preferred; trainee debt adviser considered.
  • Strong numerical and financial skills.
  • Experience with computer-based recording/monitoring systems.
  • Ability to manage own workload and meet targets in a pressurised environment.
  • Commitment to quality standards in delivering debt advice.
