The trustees at Citizens Advice Barrow are seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the charity into the future.
As a part of the national Citizens Advice network, Citizens Advice Barrow exists to provide advice to people to allow them to address the problems they are facing, improve their financial resilience and find a way forward.
Our team of 9 paid staff and two volunteers support over 2,500 clients annually with many different and complex problems including financial crisis, debt, benefits, housing, employment and family issues.
The Citizens Advice Barrow service provides a high quality service which is overseen by our national charity. It holds the Advice Quality Standard and is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The quality of our service is very important to us, and the successful candidate will uphold the high standards of Citizens Advice to make sure that residents are supported appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise significant funds to sustain and grow our service in the Barrow area.
- Support and mentor both paid staff and volunteers.
- Ensure the service meets the changing needs of residents.
- Work positively with other Citizens Advice offices in Cumbria.
- Develop strong relationships with national charity staff to maximize network benefits.
