North Yorkshire Citizens Advice & Law Centre is an independent charity providing free, confidential and impartial information and advice on a range of issues. We have 8 offices throughout North Yorkshire and help approximately 25,000 people every year. We are seeking an Advice Session Supervisor who will be responsible for providing support and supervision to staff and volunteers in our Harrogate office, as well as team members working remotely or at outreach settings. Occasional cover for our Skipton office will also be required.
Responsibilities
- Manage the practicalities of advice sessions and support staff and volunteers to ensure we are consistently providing high quality advice.
- Provide supervision to staff and volunteers in the Harrogate office, with remote or outreach team members; occasional cover for Skipton office as required.
- Work within a team and adapt the level of support to each individual, giving appropriate encouragement and constructive challenge when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience of giving advice on a broad range of subjects such as money, benefits and housing.
- Excellent communicator and willing to take the lead.
