Overview

Position: Universal Credit Support – Help to Claim Adviser

Location: South Gloucestershire

Closing date for applications: Friday 31st October at 5.00 pm

Salary: £30,328 to £31,991 depending on experience (pro-rata)

Hours: Hybrid (after completion of satisfactory probation period). 22.5 hours per week – 3 days per week – Monday essential with the other 2 days to be agreed.

Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire is the leading provider of advice services to South Gloucestershire residents.

Responsibilities

  • Join the existing Universal Credit Support – Help to Claim team to provide effective and efficient support for first-time Universal Credit claimants, including those subject to managed migration.
  • Provide advice, information and digital support via telephone and digital channels to help claimants through to the first payment of Universal Credit.
  • Contribute to a high-quality customer service experience and ensure appropriate documentation and case notes are maintained.

Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of the welfare benefits system and Universal Credit is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • Proficiency in IT with effective communication skills.
