About the Role
We are looking for a full‑time Community Advisor for Multiple Needs to join our GAIN service (Guidance, Advice, Information and Network Project). The role will provide personalised support to disadvantaged vulnerable adults living in Birmingham to support the improvement of their health and wellbeing. Community Advisors will work within one of Birmingham’s 4 main quadrants delivering advice and support from accessible outreach locations.
Responsibilities
- Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.
- Interpret information and present options to clients.
- Assist clients with related problems, acting as an integral part of their case and refer to other advisers or specialist agencies as appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality, use discretion and sound judgement in all responsibilities.
- Provide advice, information and guidance on a range of issues including housing, benefits, debt, employment and health services.
- Work as part of a wider team through a multi‑agency approach, collaborating with local organisations to raise awareness of the service and strengthen the local community.
Qualifications and Experience
- Can complete tasks to the highest quality.
- Can monitor and maintain own standards ensuring work is accurate.
- Experienced in working with a diverse range of people and providing a welcoming environment for clients.
- Possession of a full driving licence and use of a car, or otherwise able to fulfil travel requirements.
- Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate.

Essentials
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full‑time).
- Location: Hybrid Working at outreach venues across Birmingham; may be required to travel to CAMM offices or remote.
- Contract: Fixed term, end date 30th November 2029 (possible extension to 30th November 2031).
