Citizens Advice Knowsley is an independent charity looking to recruit an experienced leader as Chair of Trustees, to help shape the service and lead the organisation in achieving its strategic aims.

What difference will you make?

As Chair, you will provide leadership and influence over the future direction of the organisation; be a spokesperson, ambassador and custodian of Citizens Advice Knowsley.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a board of trustees, working to maintain a crucial advice service to Knowsley residents and ensuring that we remain relevant to our service users.
  • Ensuring strong governance, strategic oversight and overall leadership to the trustee board.
  • Providing direction to the Chief Officer and senior management and ensuring that suitable support and guidance is available where required.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with leadership experience, an understanding of the services we provide and the determination to ensure that we continue to provide quality advice services to Knowsley residents in a climate where there is increased demand for our services and continued pressure on funding.

We are looking for someone who will take the lead at our board meetings, ensuring that all Trustees are able to contribute, show their skills, knowledge and experience, and enable the board to make effective decisions.
