Community Energy Adviser in Winchester

We are looking for a Community Energy Adviser to join our Rural Energy Connect project, providing free, independent and impartial energy advice to vulnerable households across Mid-Hampshire.

In this rewarding role, you will support people who are experiencing fuel poverty, struggling with rising energy costs, facing energy debt, or at risk of disconnection. Through a combination of community outreach, personalised advice and casework support, you will help clients improve their financial and energy wellbeing.

Working within trusted community settings such as food banks, warm hubs and local community venues, you will:

• Provide practical energy advice and guidance tailored to individual needs.
• Help residents access grants, support schemes and other sources of assistance.
• Support households to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs.
• Build long-term energy and financial resilience within local communities.
• Identify clients requiring additional support and make referrals to specialist services where appropriate.

This is a varied and people-focused role that combines direct client support with community engagement. You will work across the Winchester District area while collaborating with colleagues as part of a wider team delivering services throughout the Mid-Hampshire region, including New Forest, Test Valley, Winchester & District, and East Hampshire.
