This is an exciting opportunity to train to join our friendly team to help our Three River's community resolve issues related to homelessness and housing. This is a new role and will form a job share, the first part of which has already been filled.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following from our 'Essential Person Specification' criteria:

  • Awareness or understanding of giving tailored advice and working in a regulated environment.
  • An ability to demonstrate a level of commitment to training, identify own training needs and participate in continued personal development opportunities.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines using own initiative.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a range of people and organisations.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to carry out efficient client interviews and at times to undertake benefit calculations.
  • Ability to use IT systems, packages and resources in the provision of advice, record keeping and document production.
  • The ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team and work without close supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to follow agreed procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work in a sensitive and enabling way with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service and our organisational values.
