We are recruiting an Energy Adviser to provide high-quality, impartial energy advice and practical support to clients across Preston & District. The role aims to improve clients’ financial circumstances and support long-term stability, with a strong focus on vulnerable households, including those on low incomes, disabled people, and residents of the most deprived wards.

You will work collaboratively with our partners, Green Rose and North Lancashire Citizens Advice, using a holistic approach to assess client needs and ensure they access the most appropriate support. You will deliver face to face and telephone advice, helping clients with complex energy issues and supporting them through challenging situations.

The role requires recent or current experience in delivering high-quality advice, or a clear commitment to complete the required training, including an accredited Level 3 qualification in Energy Awareness. You will have excellent communication, customer service and IT skills, with the ability to manage difficult and emotional conversations in a non-judgmental and supportive way. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and maintain accurate case records are essential. You should be confident using Office 365 and case management systems while engaging with clients.
