About the role
Main purpose and scope of job:
Funded by Northern Power Grid, this project provides advice to clients experiencing or at risk of fuel poverty. The role will provide advice to clients in order to maximise income through benefits and debt advice, reduce fuel debts, access increased support through the Priority Services Register, Warm Homes Discount, tariff checks and charity applications, as well as reducing future fuel costs by accessing support from Green Doctor and other appropriate services.
Clients will access the service by telephone and webchat. Working alongside the other advisers, you will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive good quality generalist advice with a focus on alleviating fuel poverty, working across telephone and digital channels.
You should be organised with the ability to work independently. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to listen, engage and empathise with potentially vulnerable clients.
