About the role
We are growing our debt team of 30 staff to 46, so this is a great opportunity to join us as a Trainee Debt Caseworker. Both trained advisers and new comers to the debt service are welcome to apply. Full training can be provided.
You will:
– Have the ability to commit to and work within the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice service.
– Be able to work with clients, who may be stressed or vulnerable, with empathy and patience, displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– You should be able to work confidently and independently.
– Be willing to work using various platforms which could include phone, webchat, video call.
– Excellent PC literacy skills will enable you to work with a variety of computer applications/systems. You should be able to work on your own initiative and be willing to commit to continuous development and an extensive training programme. Good English and Maths qualifications are a prerequisite in applying for this post.
– You should be able to demonstrate how you manage your own wellbeing/resilience at an interview.
– Be happy to work alongside other colleagues in a collaborative way within a call centre environment.
We offer: Salary £25,738.00 rising £28,560.00, 21 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, Paid Christmas close down in addition to standard holidays (3-4 days extra), 1 week’s additional leave, gained by annual increment (a day a year) after 4 years’ service, Employee assistance programme, 8% non-contributory pension, Salary sacrifice for pension (optional), Free parking, EAP scheme, Blue Lights Reward discount card
