About the role

Citizens Advice Hull & East Riding (CAHER) is a busy, progressive and dynamic service serving a city and a large rural county. CAHER work together to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients.

Based in Hull, Goole and Beverley

Salary £30,743 pro rata, per annum.

4 days in total. Working days available are:

  • 2.5 days - available in the Hull office
  • 1 day - Wednesday all day in Goole office
  • ½ day – Friday morning in Beverley office

The advice service supervisor role involves working with colleagues to manage the day-to-day delivery and quality of a busy service. You will supervise a large and diverse team of paid and volunteer advisers, admin and receptionists to ensure we provide a high-quality customer service from a number of offices and outreaches. In this role you will support advisers to offer advice via varied service channels including face to face, telephone, outreach, video and digital.

Ideally, you will hold the Generalist Certificate in Advice Work (or equivalent) and have at least one year’s experience of legal advice at a generalist advice level.

We are looking for commitment, enthusiasm, flexibility and great time management skills and the willingness to learn.

It is desirable for the applicant to have previous experience of supervising or managing a team although this is not essential.
