The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 Β£ per year.
Basis: Full Time
Work Pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:00 and Friday 8:00-15:30 + Out of hours

This is a great opportunity for you to join and be part of the Citizen Maintenance team to make a real difference to our customers. Reporting to Planned Works Supervisor, you are required to carry out planned works on behalf of Maintenance Operatives. These works relate to residential properties, public buildings and commercial properties.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment, have a confident and friendly manner, and excellent communication skills.

In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Trade Engineer β Plumber will involve:
- Undertaking a range of trade tasks to complement the fulfilment of primary trade activities
- Be suitably qualified, on an on-going basis, to carry out all works, meeting all regulatory and H&S requirements
- Carry out all works in line with applicable recognised regulations
- Provide on site support to trade engineers in the fulfilment of their duties, when required
- Support an emergency call out rota in line with the Maintenance Operations Emergency Call Out document
- Support a flexible working rota operating between 08:00 β 19:00 Monday β Friday
As a Trade Engineer β Plumber, we need you to have:
- Craft City & Guilds or S/NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing is essential
- Craft City & Guilds or S/NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing is desirable
- Ideally be CSCS Card holder or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of Carpentry and associated skills
- Experience of working within the social housing sector delivering maintenance and building services in both void and occupied properties
- Experience of health and safety best practice and procedures
- Experience of dealing with customers, working alongside contractors and subcontractors
- Proven ability in all aspects of Plumbing and associated skills including diagnosis of work problems
- Ability to understand and respond to both verbal and written instructions
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, etc. and to be able to negotiate flights of stairs in multi-storey blocks
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team, at times without supervision
- Ability and willingness to work in some unpleasant conditions
- Basic written communication skills in order to complete paperwork related to daily movements
- Ability to use a handheld electronic mobile device
- Awareness and understanding of Equality and Diversity issues
- Willingness to work at weekends and out of hours (on a rota basis)
- A full UK driving license
