Citizen owns and manages 30,000 homes for diverse communities across the West Midlands, from urban tower blocks to rural villages and towns.
Salary: £30,080
Location: Torrington Avenue, Coventry, CV4 9AJ
Basis: Permanent, 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday – Sunday, 5 working days over 7
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of mobile and static Cleaning Technicians based across all three locations.
- Responsible for the day‑to‑day planning of workloads, supervising staff, and ensuring high cleaning standards are maintained within a social housing environment.
- Bring strong, hands‑on experience in all aspects of communal cleaning, including corridors, lifts, foyers, bin stores, welfare rooms, toilets, stairwells, litter picking, and immediate external areas.
- Confident in training staff, carrying out quality audits, and ensuring standards are consistently met.
- Complete regular one‑to‑one meetings, manage sickness reviews, and provide ongoing support and performance feedback to your team.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Experience leading or managing teams in an operational environment.
- Ability to motivate, develop, and lead a team while promoting a positive company image.
- Confidence managing performance, attendance, and sickness issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
- A team-focused approach with good customer skills.
- A full driving licence and willingness to drive a small company van.
This role requires a basic DBS check.
