Reporting to the Electrical Contracts Manager, you will support M&E Team Managers in the planning, scheduling, and successful delivery of service, installation, repair, and maintenance contracts, ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and compliance. Assist in the supervision and coordination of external contractors, helping to ensure effective operational delivery and adherence to contractual requirements. Manage and monitor remedial works, ensuring issues are accurately recorded, progressed, and completed within agreed timescales. Provide accurate compliance and performance data to the Compliance Hub, supporting Statutory Compliance Officers in meeting statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing clear and effective contract support to the managers of both the gas and electric teams.
- Ensuring effective allocation of contractual resources, compliance with regulation and legislation applicable to the organisations residential stock through the demonstration of planning and programming skills.
- Supporting the procurement, delivery, and management of robust servicing, maintenance and repair contracts.
- Ensuring Citizen has effective policies, procedures, and systems in place to comply with all regulation and legislation applicable to building safety.
- Ensuring that programmes are in place so that all policies and procedures are reviewed and updated regularly.
- Managing the collection of data to ensure that our business information complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and experience:
- An understanding of either Gas legislation/regulation, electric legislation/regulation or both.
- An understanding of Safety legislation and best practice associated with residential accommodation and social housing.
- Experience in supporting a contracts management team in their management of contractors delivering technical work to our housing stock.
- Experience of managing a programme of risk assessment and safety inspection processes and procedures across residential housing portfolios.
- Experience of supporting a team and delivering efficiencies through effective use of new technology and systems/processes.
We would be really excited if you have:
- Experience of working with data management systems for building safety compliance including report writing.
- Experience of working with other areas of compliance ie Fire and/or asbestos.
- Understanding of the strategic issues related to affordable housing, including the role of Local Authorities and relevant regulatory bodies.
