We're looking for an experienced Compliance Manager (Mechanical & Electrical) to lead the delivery of our M&E compliance strategy, ensuring our homes remain safe, compliant and fit for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of Citizen's M&E compliance programme, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
- Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies and management plans in line with legislation and best practice.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of technical specialists.
- Oversee the repair, servicing, maintenance and replacement of M&E systems across approximately 24,000 homes.
- Manage compliance budgets, investment programmes and high-value contractor performance.
- Drive improvements to compliance systems and asset data, working closely with key stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance performance, manage risk and produce reports for senior leadership.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors and regulators to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and contribute to the ongoing development of Citizen's compliance strategy.
Qualifications and experience:
We're looking for an experienced compliance professional with a strong background in mechanical and electrical compliance within housing, property or asset management. You'll have:
- A recognised qualification in either Gas (current Gas Safe registration) or Electrical Installation/Management.
- Knowledge of Legionella (HSG274), lift management and renewable technologies.
- A sound understanding of building infrastructure, including single and three-phase electrical systems.
- Experience managing high-value contracts, budgets and contractor performance.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills for senior stakeholders.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive, organised approach to delivering safe, compliant services.
