The role forms a key relationship in providing financial and performance information along with your team. A key element of this is providing accurate financial support to Budget Holders.
Position: Assistant Accountant
Salary: £37,595
Location: 4040 Lakeside, B37 7YN - Hybrid (2 Days Per Week in the Office)
Hours: Permanent, Monday - Friday, 37 Hours Per Week
Key Responsibilities:
Provide financial advice, assistance, and support to Budget Holders in relation to income and expenditure in order for them to operate effective financial controls and forecasting.
To undertake budgetary control meetings to ensure effective budgetary control is being carried out.
Responsible for reconciliation of control accounts on a regular basis.
Provide financial advice, assistance, and support to Budget Holders in relation to income and expenditure in order for them to operate effective financial controls and forecasting.
Write or amend reports from the finance database (Open Accounts) and write ad hoc reports as requested by the Accountant.
Support the Accountant in the production of monthly management accounts, including forecasting outturns.
Qualifications and experience:
5 GCSE's Grades A-C (including Maths and English), or equivalent.
AAT level 3 qualification or part CCAB qualification or working towards within 12 months.
Ability to present and explain the findings of data analysis to the Accountant and other stakeholders.
