Senior Integration Engineer | Up to £145k (+ Bonus) | London | Permanent
Location: London (4 Days in Office)
Job Type: Permanent
Our client, a Commodity Trading firm, is looking for a Senior Integration Engineer to join them and help design, build, and maintain integration solutions that support complex trading operations. You’ll be responsible for connecting critical systems, creating efficient data flows, and delivering scalable, high-performance backend services.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement integration architectures across trading systems and data sources.
- Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Build and optimise real-time, high-throughput data pipelines.
- Implement robust messaging using Kafka and similar platforms.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Ensure system performance, resilience, and reliability in mission-critical environments.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems.
- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices.
- Support integration of cloud-native services and hybrid architectures.
Required Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in Java backend development (Spring, Spring Boot).
Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and microservices.
Expertise in messaging systems (Kafka, Tibco EMS).
Solid database and API development experience.
Proven track record in integration and delivery within complex environments.
A background in Commodity Trading is advantageous.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Interest in AI integration and automation is a plus.
