This is a brand-new position and one of the business’ highest priority technology hires.
You’ll sit at the centre of the commodities trading lifecycle, working across applications and integrations that support everything from trade capture and exchange connectivity through to scheduling, risk, P&L and settlements.
Rather than being a purely support-focused ETRM role, this position is focused on engineering, modernisation and ownership, improving existing platforms, building new solutions and helping shape the future direction of the technology landscape.

- Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.
- Drive strong engineering practices around testing, CI/CD and release processes.
- Support and mentor developers, including coordinating delivery with offshore teams.
- Own production issues, root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
You’ll ideally have
- Strong experience developing and supporting enterprise ETRM/CTRM platforms.
- Experience working within a commodity trading environment.
- Hands-on software engineering experience (not purely configuration/support).

Strong technical experience with some of the following
- Python
- Spring Framework
