We are looking for a hands‑on Delivery Lead to join a lean, high‑performing team working at the intersection of technology and commercial operations across European power markets. This is a flat‑structured environment where your ability to get close to the detail matters as much as your ability to lead. You will be expected to roll your sleeves up, own outcomes end‑to‑end, and work directly with trading, operations, and engineering stakeholders without layers of management in between.
The role sits at the heart of EU power delivery, with a strong focus on conventional generation assets, specifically power plants, peaking units, and flexible generation, as well as the technology platforms that support their trading and dispatch lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading end‑to‑end delivery of technology and commercial initiatives across the EU power value chain, from asset dispatch and generation forecasting through to trade capture, nominations, and settlements.
- Acting as the primary bridge between trading desks and technology teams, translating commercial requirements into well‑defined, deliverable solutions.
- Taking hands‑on ownership of delivery across power plant and peaking asset workflows, including dispatch optimisation, balancing mechanism interactions, and real‑time position management.
- Driving the delivery of ETRM‑connected solutions for complex power products, including peaking, tolling, and flexible generation structures.
- Managing delivery across agile teams, keeping stakeholders aligned and programmes on track in a flat, high‑accountability structure.
- Supporting RFP/RFI processes, vendor assessments, and build‑vs‑buy decisions where relevant to the EU power technology roadmap.
Skills & Requirements
Essential
- Demonstrable experience in a delivery or product lead role within European power markets. You must understand how power is traded, dispatched, and settled in the EU.
- Deep familiarity with power plant operations and peaking assets, including the commercial and operational nuances of flexible generation, capacity markets, and balancing mechanisms.
- A track record of delivering technology solutions in a trading environment, with direct exposure to ETRM platforms and front‑to‑back integration.
- Strong functional knowledge across the power value lifecycle: origination, trade capture, nomination, scheduling, and settlement.
- Comfortable operating in a flat structure. This is not a role for someone who delegates detail. You need to be as comfortable in a requirements workshop as you are in a steering committee.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with traders, quants, operations, and engineering teams simultaneously.
Desirable
- Experience with renewable or hybrid asset portfolios (wind, solar, batteries) alongside conventional generation.
- Familiarity with pan‑European markets, including EPEX, Nord Pool, interconnector trading, or cross‑border nominations.
- Exposure to real‑time data platforms, cloud‑native architecture (AWS preferred), or automation tooling in a trading context.
