My client is searching for an Automation & Observability Engineer to help drive automation initiatives and develop observability and alerting solutions aligned with the Firmβs data protection strategy.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities to improve the reliability of the data protection platform.
- Automate issue resolution, enhance observability and alerting to speed up service recovery, or a combination of both.
- Collaborate with the operations team to understand challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Interpret ambiguous requirements, advise stakeholders, and clearly communicate complex technical concepts.
Required Skills
- Strong ability to interpret and refine ambiguous requirements.
- Excellent programming skills in Python; familiarity with Perl and/or PowerShell is a plus.
- Solid experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
- Strong knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Cortex.
- Significant hands-on experience with Ansible.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs.
- Excellent debugging skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex or unfamiliar issues beyond standard product documentation.
